![]() HQ Holden Racing Association HQ News Race 4 As usual a very competent Peter Brown led the charge. Jeff Watt got a blinder of a start to take third place almost immediately and hold it for the remainder of the race. Steve Raisin rolled off the grid before the green light and suspects a blown motor. Dear oh dear it had to happen, Richard Spivey out in the newly renumbered 38 had a coming together with Ken Shufflebotham at the hairpin and major damage resulted for both cars. Tony James had a moment and finished uncharacteristically far back in the field. Brian Bondi's car finished the race looking a bit the worse for wear, Darren Peat had a repeat of previous gear problems and both Roger Hurkens' and Fred Nelson's cars arrived at the finishing line sounding less than flash. Peter Brown finished a very comfortable winner, followed by Wayne Morfett (the bridesmaid of the day), Jeff Watt, John Borich, Chris Farr and Darren Peat. Chris Farr put in a good meeting and would be justifiably pleased with himself.
